iPhone update 1.2.2

September 22nd, 2008 – 3:15 pm
Tagged as: Service release

Another bugfix release, aiming at correcting a few more issues that our users have identified since 1.2.1 came out.

Fixes

  • Inability to add a service if the password contains uppercase characters - until 1.2.2 makes it onto the App store, a quick fix would be to change your password to contain only lower case characters.
  • Crashes when deleting some Palringo contacts
  • The GTalk icon is now restored when reconnecting

New features

  • Palringo now display the number of messages you’ve received for each user / forum in the Palringo pop up

  • The Palringo badge is now updated with the number of private messages you haven’t read when quitting palringo

Please note that the icon is only updated when you exit Palringo using the ‘Home’ button, as we need to wait for Apple’s Push notification service to be able to update it when Palringo is not running.

As always, please keep your feedback coming! ;)

    Genius…
Will it be much, I don’t know if it is included with the update, but to save in the phone the conversations that are open?

For example I’m talking to a friend, if I receive a call I loose my whole conversation, which mostly doesn’t matter but if I just received a message and haven’t had time to read it and it closes I loose the message.

Also, I would like to open phone # or web addresses and open clip?

    Keep the good work

@Francisco – we’re working on saving conversations locally on the phone for version 1.3. You are already able to open web addresses and videos (provided they’re on Youtube or Quicktime compatible videos if you tap on the message.

Opening phone numbers is a really good idea and will be added to our to do list!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Im excited for the new update! I have sum requests, Would it be possible to make it so that you can have a picture seeable just for palringo? so it would be your picture and then whatever platform they are using? That would be awesome! And could we get a quick link for adding friends from groups? something like you can click on there name and just add them? And also a notification for when someone signs on. And how about details for each person like Age Sex Location, or even a profile page accessible from the palringo application. Love this app!! Thanks for all consideration.
