About
I currently live in Newcastle, in the north-east of England. I’ve been around on this planet for 24 years, 11 months, and 11 days.
I consider myself to be passionate and visionary; I’m a geek and a hacker, but not in the pejorative sense of those words. I tinker with technology, using it to breathe life into ideas. I derive great pleasure from my interests, and even more pleasure from sharing them with others.
In 2006, I co-founded Palringo, which strives to provide people with a new and natural form of communication across the Internet and mobile devices. I’m working with a great team, bringing some fascinating ideas to fruition. It’s still early days, but we’re hoping to be writing history in the world of technology.
Testimonials
Writing an objective description of oneself isn’t easy. It’s difficult to avoid some bias, or sounding excessively conceited. For this reason, I have chosen to instead paste what others have said about me at various times.
Ah, Martin. If Martin was an entry in an American yearbook, he’d be voted ‘He Most Likely To Succeed’. Despite having never seen sunlight, Martin is far from pale when it comes to personality. He always made me laugh, mostly intentionally, but occasionally it was a nervous titter. I saw him every day for a good few years, and I can’t recall us ever falling out.
He’d mock my weight and I’d tease his hair, though not with a comb. That would have been too wrong. On a serious note though: Martin kicks arse. The difference is, he’s likely to have built that arse from a devastating array of technological bits and pieces, and fine-tuned it to a indecently high-spec.
